How would you like to carry this around all day?

When Hannah was in fourth grade she decided that she wanted to play the cello when she was old enough to be in the elementary school orchestra. Allison played the clarinet, Emily played the violin, and Haley played the flute. Of course my smallest child would choose to play the largest instrument!!  So when she started the fifth grade we bought her a cello and found a teacher to help her learn to play.  Now that she is in sixth grade she has moved up to the advanced orchestra and has private lessons from a very talented teacher.  Hannah's cello took a beating going back and forth to school twice a week so she now borrows one from the school so she does not have to bring hers to school anymore.  That makes life much easier!!!

We are so blessed to have sweet Connor!!!

Tyler, Allison, Connor and Emily drove from Utah for the weekend so that little Connor boy could be blessed here in Calif where both sets of Grandparents live.
It was awesome to have them here.  Russ and I had a few slumber parties with Connor in our room.  We would just take him to Allison when he needed to eat.
Being a grandma is the BEST!!!

Poor guy lost all the hair on top of his head the day or two before his blessing.  Now he looks like an old man!!

Uncle Brian came up to visit his new Grand Nephew.  He was a little nervous holding such a little guy, but did just fine.  They got along great.

Back to School 2012

How can my baby already be in sixth grade?

And how is it that this girl wears the same shoe size as me already?

Wow, I remember the first time this little guy got on a school bus.....I guess he's not so little anymore!

You can call me Grandma!!!!

Wow...where do I even begin with this post?  My heart is so full of love for this sweet little guy!  Russ and I were anxiously anticipating his arrival knowing that Allison was at the hospital being induced. We spent a few hours with her before her labor became too intense. We had no idea how long it would take, so we went home to get some sleep.  We received a text from Tyler the next morning at 5:30am to let us know that she was ready to push the little guy out, so Russ and I jumped out of bed, threw on some clothes and headed to the hospital.  To say that it was torture sitting in the waiting room is putting it mildly.  Finally around 7:00am Tyler came to get us.  Little C had been born at 6:49am and all was well!!  We were so blessed to be at the hospital when he was born.  We went back to Allison's room and met our new grandson.  There is nothing quite like holding a brand new baby, and knowing that he was part of the family made it even better!!!

It was so fun to watch him get his first bath and hair wash.  He was not so fond of the whole ordeal!

                                                    Such a cute little family!!!!

It's an amazing thing to watch your daughter become a mother!!!!

I had so much fun staying with Tyler and Allison!  They let me hold this sweet little guy as much as I wanted (which was a lot!!!)

Fun Day at Murray Farm

With school being out and the weather still somewhat mild we decided to take a trip to Murray Family Farm.  There were berries to be picked!!
Haley, Hannah and I had such a great time together!
                                                       The awesome jumping pillow!

The petting zoo was full of cute little animals,
but the pig was our favorite.
He loved having Haley and Hannah scratch his belly!!!

We ate as many blueberries while we picked as we put in our bucket!!
The same with the strawberries!!  MMMMM, nature's candy!!!
                                                        Rain gutter duck races!
                                                                        Cute sisters!
