More 4th of July fun

When we got home from our hike in Provo Canyon the children were hot, so the logical answer was to pull out the slip and slide. (A homemade version)

We ended the day with fireworks and glow sticks. Gotta love the creativity!
A few neighbors set off fireworks along with us, so we had quite the show. The best part was the light rain that began halfway through the night. We have never set off fireworks in the rain before. We were also able to see some huge fireworks in the sky from various city displays without having to fight crowds or traffic. PERFECT!!!

4th of July Festivities

After resting a bit from the Freedom Run, we packed up the group and headed to Bridal Veil Falls for a little hiking and fun.

Ben kept asking who my mom was...good thing Grandma Sullivan was there. Ben was really interested in learning all about the relatives, and how everyone was related.
Cousins Hannah and Mikelle......you would never guess they were born eight days apart!!!

Provo Freedom Run

TORTURE I tell you.....that's what it was......pure torture!

Russ and I are training for the St. George Marathon in October, so we decided we had better do the 10K instead of the 5K. At home we are used to running 6 miles with no problem, but when you factor in an altitude change and three long hills, that changes things. My sister Bridget was talked in to running this race with us and she finished it like a trooper! We didn't set any records with our finish times....but we did finish! Actually we had a great time, so great in fact that we'll be back next year. (Maybe we'll stick with the 5K.)

Russ, Haley, Hannah and I were the only ones brave enough to hike Y mountain.

It was a gorgeous morning, perfect for hiking!
The view was spectacular!
We forgot how steep the climb is, but well worth the effort!

Judd Family Reunion 2011

COUSINS.....Isn't that what reunions are all about?

We spent three fun filled days at Palisades State Park in Manti, Utah. Other than a massive wind, rain and lightening storm, everything was fabulous!
Emily brought her friend Krista along for the fun.
No reunion would be complete without a bit of jump roping thrown in.

The rope swing proved to be a crowd favorite!



As did the kayak (Russ built this when he was a teenager)
and the canoe......
and the paddle boat!

Hannah's leap of faith........she made it!

We were in charge of an afternoon craft, so Hannah taught everyone how to make duct tape wallets. (She learned how to do it on you tube.) This activity was a definite crowd pleaser!
Ben enjoyed holding Craig and Kelli's dog, Bolt, while the adults enjoyed sitting under the shade visiting.
Under the roof of the pavilion that we were using there was this nest full of baby birds. They were so cute, and we all wondered how they kept from falling out of the nest. The mamma bird would come fly in and feed her babies about every fifteen minutes.

Dance Recital 2011

Haley and Hannah... sisters who share a love for DANCE!!!!!
The girls LOVE having their own mirror in the dressing room. They decorate them with "Star Grams" which are notes written from family and friends.

Girls just wanna have fun!!!!

Haley and Hannah love their dance friends and enjoyed hanging out with them during rehearsals and in between performances.




This was a tap number that both Haley and Hannah were in. They were paired up with a partner so they would have a "boy" and a "girl". Haley and Hannah both had "girl" roles. Hannah got to walk across the stage first to get the "boy's" attention....she loved it!

Hannah was a dove in the Snow White ballet.

Haley loved her jazz number "Models looking fierce". All of the girls got to wear a ponytail hairpiece.

Both girls danced together in another fun tap number called "Little Bitty Pretty One" Haley had a solo part in this number. She rocked a double pirouette in her tap shoes!
Hannah has a smile that lights up the stage!

"Just Bounce" was a jazz number that both girls were in.
The paired up tap number "Bad Boys".

This concludes another fabulous year of dance.

Now onto summer, which includes more dancing!!!!
