Judd Family Reunion

We had a fabulous four day fun filled reunion.
The pictures are not in the right order, but you can still get the idea of the fun we had.

On Monday we had water games at Craig and Kelly's house. The children got to soak each other and play on a water slide.
NOTE: No one was hurt in the shooting of this picture.

After the games we ate dinner....and then came the COTTON CANDY!!!!

Uncle Jason did a good job making enough for everyone.
Aunt Kelly declared that we could all go "CRAZY" and have as much as we wanted. You can be sure that we all did!!!
On Sunday we all went to church with Grandpa and Grandma.
Later that evening we went to the Provo Temple grounds for a Family Home Evening Lesson that Russ taught. We all decided that we would "set out for salvation" and be worthy to go to the temple, and return there often. We are an eternal family!!

This is where it all began for Russ and I twenty one years ago. We were sealed in the Provo Temple.
Grandpa and Grandma with the grandchildren.
On Saturday we went to the park and let loose...
Russ put together a bunch of "Minute to win it" games.
Each family started off with a family cheer.

Once we were pumped up and ready to go, the games began.
In this game there was a whole lot of shaking going on!!

This game involved moving an oreo from your forehead to your mouth without using your hands.

Here we had to throw ping pong balls to a teammate with a bucket on their head...

What's a party without a pie eating contest, Right?!
The children went first.....
Then came the adults....
The results are in......Messy faces all around!!!

Then there was the chip eating contest. Once again you had to move the chip from your forehead to your mouth without using your hands. The facial expressions were hilarious!!

TOTAL CONCENTRATION!!
Haley had no problem, nor did Aunt Kelly.
Jaxon on the other hand had a bit of a problem. I think I can, I think I can.....

Friday was full of fun at Deer Creek. How can you go wrong with boats, water and jet skis.

Hannah let the wind blow her out and then she would reel herself back in.
Haley and Abby loved having Russ pull them around.
Jason spent most of the day taking the children out for rides on the boat.
I was loving the waves in the afternoon when the wind kicked up. Russ and I went out together and had a blast jumping the waves.
Emily was brave enough to let Uncle Robert pull her on the tube. He can get pretty crazy, but Emily managed to hang on.
The children could have stayed on the boat forever!!
What an awesome day, and a fabulous family reunion!!!!

San Francisco here we come...

I (Russell) had a meeting in San Francisco at the corporate office. Haley decided to come along for the ride. We flew out of Bakersfield Sunday night. My meeting was early Monday morning. Haley came to the office with me and waited in a visitor office until my meeting was complete. She said it was very boring waiting for me, but, after the meeting then came the fun. We decided to use every mode of transportation we could on this trip. We flew on a plane, we rode a taxi to the hotel, we took the city bus, we rode the subway and even rented a little "GO Car" to drive around the city.
Haley is a profesional trolley car rider. She knows how to ride on the outside and can even lean out. She knows to make sure she is leaning in when we pass the trolley going in the opposite direction.
Here is the GO Car we rented. We rode it from Fisherman's Wharf out to the Golden Gate Bridge and back. We stopped at the bridge and had a great time looking over the bay and looking back to see the skyscrapers of San Francisco.
On Monday night we went to see the San Francisco Giants play the Los Angeles Dodgers. Haley rooted for the Dodgers. After the game we took a taxi back to the hotel. While we were in the taxi it was hit in the back by another taxi. Just a mild bang, with no injuries. The worst part was that we had to walk almost all the way back to the ball park to catch another taxi.

We had a great time in the city, we went to the big 6 story mall, we rode the trolley cars all around, we went to Pier 39, we had our picture drawn by one of the street artists, we saw all the street performers, and most of all had fun being together, Haley and Dad in San Francisco.

Dance Recital

Haley is touching up her lipstick before her performance. The girls loved getting to put on lots of makeup.

Haley and Hannah have been dancing with American Dancer's Workshop for three years. The first year they took one class a week, the second year they each took two classes a week, and this year they took six classes a week, which included ballet, tap and jazz. The fun part about taking so many classes is they get to perform more dances in the recital. That also means lots of costume changes!!!
Hannah was a penguin in the winter scene of Mary Poppins.

Haley was a snowflake in the winter scene of Mary Poppins.

This is their class for the tap number "Shake your tail feathers"
This is for their tap dance, "Stray cat strut"
Here they are in their costume for a jazz number, "One girl revolution"
Haley and Hannah both loved their jazz number, "I love the 80"s". Each girl got to put together their own costume.
Overall, this has been a fabulous year of dance. The girls have learned so much, and they have improved a lot. They are great performers and have perfected their stage smiles!!
Hannah's favorite class this year has been tap, and Haley loves ballet.
